The Story of Vivienne Été

Vivienne Caldwell grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, the kind of girl who sketched dresses in the margins of her schoolbooks and spent Saturday mornings flipping through her mother's old Vogue magazines. Fashion was never just a hobby for her. It was a language, the way she made sense of the world.

But life had other plans. She married young, fell in love with a man named Thomas, a kind and steady man who made her feel safe in a way she had never known. They built a life together, raised two daughters, and Vivienne quietly set her sketchbooks aside. The dream never disappeared. It just waited.

Thomas was deployed in 2023. He never came home.

In the months that followed, Vivienne found herself lost in a grief so heavy she could barely move. It was her youngest daughter who placed an old sketchbook in her hands one evening and said simply, "Mom, it's time."

At 61, with shaking hands and a full heart, Vivienne did what she had always been meant to do. She launched Vivienne Été, named after the French word for summer, the season she and Thomas loved most, long drives with the windows down, dresses blowing in the warm wind, a life that felt golden.

Every piece in the collection is chosen the way Vivienne lives now - with intention, with beauty, and with the quiet understanding that life is too short to not feel extraordinary.
